OVH, our hosting company, is currently facing a major incident in its Strasbourg datacentre. During the night of 9 to 10 March, a fire broke out in the buildings.
The fire is now under control, but the damage is considerable. In particular, building 2 was completely destroyed. Ideogram Design had a server in building 1 which was slightly damaged.
None of our clients' websites were hosted on this server, it was only used for Ideogram Design's ancillary websites, as well as monitoring and backup tools for the other servers.
This server is currently offline, and we now know that, if it is not part of the destroyed servers, it will not be back for 1 to 2 weeks.
We would like to inform our customers that we are doing our best to restore all the functionalities present on this server in order to recover an optimal service, and that this will be done in all transparency, without any impact on their websites.
We would also like to inform you that all our servers have a double backup, on site and off site, in order to allow a restart in the shortest possible time if an incident of this magnitude were to affect one of the datacentres hosting one of the servers containing our clients' sites.
